The UK leasing industry’s Christmas parties all share the same two characteristics, firstly philanthropy – they raise significant sums of money for charity, and secondly, they engender solidarity within the leasing community. Bill Dost puts it best, speaking at his own company’s Christmas event, D&D Leasing’s Christmas Charity party, when he said that, “We in leasing are blessed,
and we should take these moments to Give Back .” His chosen charity this year was Haven House Children’s Hospice in East London.
Bill’s Christmas party was by far the most fashionably trendy of the Christmas parties in the UK, he always has Eric Lorinz, the Savoy’s barman mixing the cocktails, and Jon Rivers playing jazz at the keyboard throughout the evening. This year the venue was Otto’s, nestling by Bond Street with its Pradas, Armanis, and Aspreys. And when words fail trying to describe the atmosphere, then a video is the next best thing, so get a feel for the atmosphere at http://youtu.be/lQXMlbqGFSU.
