In front of a packed house of industry professionals D&D Leasing held its annual black tie charity fundraiser, this time in support of Grief Encounter. Grief Encounter, who support children through the bereavement process are a non for profit established in 2003.
Rev. Dr. K. Bill Dost, took the opportunity that evening, and in front of a capacity crowd, to not just lend his support to this charity but to make an announcement of his own. D&D Leasing, originally formed in 2000, in Canada to support small and medium sized through the acquisition of assets had felt the business had come to a cross roads. D&D Leasing, was in essence no longer just a leasing company, offering loans, professional loans, equipment leases, vehicle finance and now a credit card. Says Dost
“We realized the name no longer fit, we were so much more than just a leasing company, we had evolved into a Finance House,” Dost said, announcing that D&D Leasing was no more and in its place was a company with a clear direction in how it supported its client base. This company was now called DND Finance.
“We felt the timing and the name really fit, we’ve had an exciting year and we feel the future has lots of potential.” The new name then was situated to not just acknowledge what DND has financed before but to allow for growth into future areas of finance.
DND Finance, the new global brand of the company, came with one more change. “With the rebrand we felt it was also time to let some our leadership take the spotlight,” stated Dost. To that end, Tara Skewes, a long time DND team member was announced as president of the Canadian Operations effective January 1st, 2019. The appointment would allow Dost to continue to seek out new opportunities and to continue to grow the company while ensuring that the day to day operations were not being neglected.
